Ijgd organizes volunteer services in local places in Germany and in foreign countries. The goal of the volunteer services is to enable youths to learn about social conditions, cultures and engagement for socially disadvantaged groups. Moreover, they want to dismantle prejudice between different nations, social groups, religions and ideals and morals. Every year ijgd takes care of over 5000 volunteers. They are independent from church and political parties.
